Great Race Spot Prize Winner
Kate and Lara enjoy time at Church Hill, walking and camping at Maori Beach
In 2019 the island hosted the first Rakiura Challenge which seen competitors from around the nation running the Rakiura track in a day race.
Church Hill is a keen supporter of island events and we added to a great spot prize of a trip to the Rakiura with Real Journeys and accomodation here at Church Hill. The lucky winner was Kate Fenton who choose to bring her cousin, Lara, to share in the experience.
They were wonderful guests and their youthful energy made sharing in their enjoyment of the island a bonus. They took the opportunity to do some exploring and very much loved their walk to Kaipipi and Ryans Creek. They capped off their adventure with a water taxi trip to Bungaree with Rakiura Charters from where they walked back to Maori Beach for a nights camping.
They enjoyed the nature offered in exploring the coast of the island and with great weather they could not of been happier.
It serves to highlight the things you can do while staying on the island. Why not combine a bit of pampering with exploring outside the village.
Rakiura charters offers a great service to exploring around the coastline or into the inlet. We would love to host you and share in your adventure should you want to be pampered.
Thanks to Kate and Lara for being part of what makes running a lodge so much fun.
