Our food philosophy is simple: “home-grown, homemade, Stewart Island, Southland”
We have gardens and 5 greenhouses that provide fresh produce and herbs that we utilise where possible in our menus.
The range of local produce on our menus includes:
• Blue cod
• Salmon (farmed on Stewart Island)
• Mussels (farmed on Stewart Island)
• Titi (muttonbird)
• Crayfish (fresh from our own seawater tank)
• Southland lamb and beef
• Bluff oyster (in season)
Some items are seasonal or not always available so please check availability to avoid disappointment.
Deanne enjoys making chutneys, pickles, dips, oils and sauces and we smoke our own bacon and salmon. These items are incorporated into our menus, and at times, may be available for purchase at the restaurant.
